Traceability & Product Recall
Recent legislation (EC178/2002 & The General Food Regulations 2004) places an obligation of food businesses to be able to trace and track their products. The main purpose of this requirement is to ensure you are able to identify and locate batches of products that have to be recalled to prevent harm to consumers. Apart from complying with the law, having suitable procedures in place for traceability & product recall can help prevent serious damage to your product or brand image.
